Real testimony from real people.
We had an amazing time staying at the Little House! We wanted something between Petoskey and Mackinac Island and the location couldn’t have been better! The house was so cozy, quaint, and SO clean. The fridge even came stocked with milk and farm fresh eggs. Our kids loved walking through the vintage car junk yard and didn’t want to go home! We will absolutely be staying here again next year for our annual trip up north. ☺️

What an amazing place! Our only regret is we didn’t plan to stay longer. Peaceful, warm, cozy. We enjoyed the goats and chickens. The house was wonderful! The bed and linens were amazing. The vintage vibe was so so awesome. We will stay again!

We loved The Little House! The location was perfectly nestled between the north entrance of the Tunnel of Trees and Mackinaw City. It’s great if you want to drive up the Tunnel of Trees from the south entrance and then have a cozy getaway after.

The Little House was very clean, and there were books, movies, board games, and puzzles to choose from for entertainment. The farm fresh eggs were such a nice touch (hopefully we’ll have time to try them on our next visit). The bird feeder—visible from the large kitchen window—kept the birds coming, which was also peaceful to watch. We had a great stay and hope to visit again soon!
We’ve stayed here every summer (except last summer) for seven years. This is because The Little House and the local area is so beautiful. The street (Canby Road) is quiet and peaceful, with horses across the street and cows up the street. You can see dozens of birds every day. This trip, we saw in the yard, red-bellied woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, Mourning doves, bluebirds, etc. Up the street, in a tall cottonwood tree, a juvenile bald eagle held residence. 10 minutes away is the pristine and beautiful Sturgeon Bay with a fantastic beach. At night, the sky is dark and the stars are clear and there are more stars than you can imagine.

The Little House is comfortable, cozy, and slightly rustic. Phil is very friendly and responsive. His wife Amanda made a lovely loaf of bread for us. Phil and Amanda often leave little gifts for the guests. I can’t praise this place, or the location (Bliss) enough. We’ll be back again.
